There is no such thing as a good credit card - however some credit card deals are better than others. It is very easy to grow fond of credit cards especially when you get your brand new card with a zero balance. Now you can head out and do some shopping. On the way you can fill your car with gas and maybe get it washed as well.
The point is, a credit card is very easy to use, and in fact might just be too easy. What this can lead to if you're not careful is overspending. Then, you get the bill, and guess what? The balance is too high, so you make the minimum payment and call it fine.
Of course if the balance is too high today, then the balance will be too high tomorrow, especially when you continue spending. As a result of which you find yourself on the slippery road into debt.
Many of us find ourselves in this situation today, wondering just how we got our credit card balance run up so much. In addition, if your card has a high interest rate, your debt grows and grows and grows with no end in sight.
If your payments are late, guess what? Yes, that's right, the debt gets even bigger. That's why it's so very important that you know the credit card deal you're about to sign up for and what the terms and conditions are.
Problem is, the devil is in those details, and if you're not careful, that devil's going to bite you. That's why credit cards can be so negative.
That said, if you have credit card debt and you want to get rid of them, you'll need to find the best credit card deal you can so that you can transfer your balances to lower interest credit cards and then pay them off as fast as possible.
To conclude credit cards are bad, so learn from your mistakes, get the best deal you can so that you can get out of debt today, because the only good credit card is the one you don't use.
