The Cold & Flu Recipe That Works Like Magic

I want to share this amazing elixir with all of you. It has been a standby throughout my life whenever I've come down with colds or flus. The recipe was handed down from my mother.
Cut up some oranges, mandarins, satsumas, lemons, grapefruit or any other citrus fruit you like. Transfer it all to a big jug and add any or all of the following ingredients:
ginger root cut up
chopped garlic
whisky (or whatever other alcoholic drink you like)
a generous portion of honey
If you like you could add herbs and spices of your choice. Then pour boiling water over it all and brew like tea. Then drink as much as you can and as hot as you can take until you feel better. The pot can be topped up with fresh boiling water until it becomes too diluted to drink. You can then chop up some more ingredients and start the process again!
This wonderful elixir will really pick you up whenever you feel unwell. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Fabulous Garlic
Of all the culinary items that's best for a detox, garlic comes top of the list. It cleanses the gastro-intestinal system, sterilizing it and creating a harmonious environment throughout. It has a cooling and cleansing action and is very soothing. It removes harmful globs of cholesterols and fats and cleanses the liver, encouraging it to health. It settles other secondary organs of the digestive system. Garlic is also good for the cardiovascular system, cleansing the arteries, improving the health of the skin, the balance of the mind and one's overall health.
One clove a day is the recommended ingestion. Although most use it in their cooking, such as frying it with onions, this destroys the benefits of garlic. If you would like to add it to food that's cooked, introduce it once the food is at the end of its cooking time. Then you will reap the benefits and get garlic's full health effect.
Some of you may be concerned about the strong aroma of garlic coming off your body after you've eaten it. If this is what happens, then this just goes to show how much you needed to be detoxified! This is actually an indicator of how much you needed the garlic to help you detoxify. Just keep at it. Eat a clove each day and you will find that over time the smell goes away. This will prove to you how effective it is in ridding your body of toxins and dissolving all those nasty cholesterol and fatty deposits!
