With what is normally served at restaurant, it shouldn't be a surprise that a person will gain weight quickly.
When people gain weight, many will come forward with all sort of advices on how to lose weight. But you should be careful when listening to these advices because you will find that weight loss does not mean fat loss. You can check this out by consulting with a professional nutritionist or a doctor. They will tell you that you should lose fat & not weight.
Our body is made up of not just fats. It is comprised of muscles, bones and other tissues as well and water. When you bear this in mind , only will you realizes that the phrase "weight loss" is misleading and inappropriate. So what most people are actually referring to is "Fat Loss" but sad to say many are unaware of this important difference.
So if you are set for losing weight, you could end up in endangering your health instead. How can you do something right when you don't even know what you are doing?
With so many ways to lose weight quickly, how would you know which is the correct method? To be more aware what is good and bad, let us take and example of a starving yourself to lose weight. You might lose some weight initially, but are you losing the right kind of weight? You might find that at the end of the day that you didn't lose a single gram of fat.
By fasting or starving yourself, you cut off a supply of calories for your body. So what happen next is that, your body will look for STORED carbs, then protein & then muscles tissues. After all your muscles tissue has been burned away as an alternative sources of energy will then your body turn to fat that is stored in your body.
As I had explained, when you starve yourself to lose weight, what you will lose is your muscles first and not the fat. This is because your body find it harder to convert fat to energy as compared to muscles. There is also another reason why by starving you will not lose the fat in your body.
When you had starved yourself for several days, the hunger pangs that you feel can be overwhelming. This will hunger pangs will make you eat more foods than before, However with any exercises, it doesn't help to rebuilt your muscles mass. What it does is just gives you more fat deposit and ultimately you just end up getting fatter. With already less muscles tissue left in your body, your body ability to burn away calories has already been diminished.
If you are serious about trimming down that huge tummy, you need to lose FAT, not weight, and for that, you not only need to eat healthy foods regularly, but also workout at least five times per week. Choose a weight loss program that meets the above criteria!
