How does stress come about? Everyone has got some kind of stress related problems. Be it relationships, work, money or family. Stress is created when there are challenges that need to be overcome. Challenges are good as long as we don't see them as unwanted problems. They help people to improve and grow. Without challenges, life would be boring, uninteresting, and too mundane. So a healthy dose of stress is actually good for health.
However, with the fast pace of the society at present, with everyone being so competitive, stress related problems are not uncommon. Time becomes the most treasured resource, and almost everything we do come with a tight deadline. Projects at work, school work, own businesses, everything is done in a hurry.
With an increase in stress, there is a natural tendency for people to need more entertainment as well. For sure, you can see that the gaming industry is a multi billion industry, with more and more people taking up games as a form of relaxation.
There are many different types of games that will suit the needs of different people. So games are not just for kids. Adult play many RPG (short for role playing games) as well. For office workers, there are many short, brainless games that help takes the mind off work. The best games for office workers are short games that last only a few minutes. This allow the office staff to take short five, ten minute breaks to give the mind a well deserved break. A well rested brain often performs better, so it's advisable to take short breaks every couple of hours to take a rest.
The best part is, most offices are already well equipped with broad band Internet access. That means being able to visit game sites to play games for free. There are literally thousands of online games that is suitable for all ages. Super Mario, airplane games, arcade games, etc. You name it, it can be found online. Most game sites that offer such games don't even require you to register for an account. There is no purchase, no installations required, and all you need is an Internet browser to start playing.
But be reminded that the best games are highly addictive. Keep a time check whenever you log on to the Internet to play some games, and don't over do it. If you over do it, precious time is wasted, and time lost can never be recovered again.
However, if you do have some hours to spare, you may want to consider playing other games such as multiplayer games. Such games usually require you to download the game and install some files on your computer. Most of them are free. But many game companies make their profits by selling accessories. If you're going to buy anything online, spend wisely, and that means only spending what you can afford.
So you see, games can actually be good for you depending on how you look at it. If you look at it from the right perspective, you stand to benefit from the games.
