Wired sound systems may soon be a thing of the past due to the new wireless home theater speakers system being marketed now. No more having to spend extra dollars buying wires and getting them installed in hard to access places, that alone makes these systems very attractive to the home handy person. Using radio frequencies to send the signals to receivers in or additional to the speakers makes it easy to install surround sound in most homes.
Wireless home theater speakers are now free to be installed into ceilings walls and cupboards if need be. This allows for enhanced enjoyment of the wonderful sounds emitting from the speaker system without feeling that the speakers themselves are dominating the room. The function of the room can change from one of technical to design considerations.
Expanding your awareness of the types of speakers available to someone focused on the wireless home theater speakers system makes for some quite imaginative ideas. Having the ability to position speakers outdoors makes the entertainment aspect flow from the confines of the house to the expanse of the outdoors. Speakers do not even have to be kept in the old rectangular box any more, how about speakers that look like plant pots or even rocks, sounds unrealistic? Not so, there are speakers available for sale that have these thought provoking designs, all the easier for the home owner to implement due to the ease of wireless installation.
With the convenience of wireless home theater speakers comes with some drawbacks, namely the power source for the speaker. Speakers require power to operate and as such they need power cables to supply this power. Having temporary power sources such as extension cords etc is fine for outdoors but indoors you will need adequate power supplied. This restriction still doesn't detract from the usefulness to the point where it is not worth bothering about as the cost savings of not having to supply and install speaker cable pays you back. Finally the sound system can suffer form signal interference from people blocking the radio signal emitting from the transmitter to the speaker, but with a bit of thought toward the positioning of the transmitter and speaker grid you should find this would not be an issue.
I think you would agree that wireless home theater speakers are something that we will see and hear about for a long time. With all new technology there are quite commonly bugs and issues that seem to be overcome with time. The consumer ultimately decides what product stays or gets buried but I think you will agree there are just too many pluses to see the demise of wireless home theater speakers.
