Commercial flooring has steadily grown in popularity as the years have passed and now it is fast being used for residential purposes. Coming in a large variety of styles and colors, more and more people are finding that it can look extremely attractive within their homes. It is also fantastic for rooms which tend to get a lot of foot traffic every day. So just what classes as commercial flooring?

The Types of Commercial Flooring Being Used

Commercial flooring comes in a variety of styles and colors, as well as different materials. The most popular types include vinyl, hardwood and linoleum. However you can also purchase specialty commercial flooring which also looks good in most homes. You can purchase slip-proof materials which are great in rooms such as the bathroom or in children's bedrooms. The great thing about the slip resistant material is that it even works when anything is spilt on top of it. So in your children's bedroom for example this would be a great advantage.

If you have a home office you could also benefit from commercial flooring. You can purchase anti-static flooring which is specifically designed to cope with the static that builds up from computers. Too much static can potentially damage your equipment and so it is certainly worth investing in this type of commercial flooring if you can afford it.

Flooring or hardwood floors is another type of commercial flooring which could go really nicely in the home. As it is designed for commercial use, it is extremely durable and it will withstand most foot traffic that goes through your home. So commercial hardwood flooring is definitely the answer if you are worried about the durability of the flooring and it could really add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the room.
