Make every square inch count.
When considering what to do with a small space, people often turn to using smaller items of furniture or a variety of other elements in an attempt to make the space feel bigger. What often goes ignored is the old adage of less is more. It's a simple, yet effective concept.
Keep an open mind in regards to larger pieces. Placing a few larger pieces in the room helps the room flow more easily. The room becomes more inviting, making you feel welcome rather than looking at various smaller pieces wondering where you should sit. If furniture is selected correctly, the room can actually feel bigger than it really is.
Using larger scaled patterns in wallcoverings can bring ambience to the room. Deciding upon your color palette and your style preference are most likely the key elements of any room. You should absolutely love the color and style as this is going to be the focus. If you feel good about this, the rest should fall into place.
Consider what the major use of the room will be. In the case of an office used on a full-time basis, it is significant to think about how comfortable you will feel day to day working in this room.
If working at home is your situation, you might want to choose a more sedate color palate that will be soothing and comfortable. If staying alert and being creative are your needs, then, by all means, go for the bold and dramatic.
If your space is going to be used as a part-time office, perhaps you should indulge your fantasies and go for the more brilliant color concentration. Whatever your choices, you need to be certain that you love the pieces and colors that you are utilizing in your tiny space. Consider room flow as well as function when furnishing your little niche and remember that "less" can be "more.
