But one of the biggest mistakes internet newbie’s can make is wait to start promoting the internet business.
The main reason people are skeptical about promoting their business is because they fear it is not ready. There are millions of web sites on the internet and promoting a business that is just getting started will look stupid. It will look like a kindergartner just put together a couple of pages.
What you need to understand is everybody’s web site looked like this at some point in time. There is no web site that started with hundreds of web pages right out of the gate. People will understand that you are just getting started and are constantly adding to your site.
The fear in most people’s eyes is the customers that do come to their site will never come back. If they don’t give your site a chance, who cares. There are millions of people that get on the internet every day for various reasons. Chances are you are only going to have a few visitors coming in the beginning anyway. So there is not much loss.
The only loss by waiting to announce your internet marketing business is potential sales. If a person comes to your site and leaves without purchasing anything, you have not lost anything. If you had not started promoting, they would not have even been to your site anyway. But if the visitor becomes a customer, that is money you would not have originally had.
In addition, when you first start getting customers it will be far easier for you to deliver outstanding customer service. This can lead to you building quality relationships and potentially building a return customer base. From there, these customers will go on to refer your web site to others leading to more and more visitors.
Do you get the point? There really is no point in waiting to announce your internet marketing business. All you are doing is taking away potential sales and potential return customers that you could gain. The second you have a live web site with a domain name, you should be promoting your site to start getting your name and the businesses name recognized.
