Regarding Global Warming, Hewlett-Packard will cut Greenhouse Emissions - In a joint initiative with WWF, H-P will reduce CO2 emissions by 15 % over the next four years at its facilities worldwide. They will inspire and educate others to adopt the best practices, and use HP technology in conservation efforts around the globe. HP will also work with WWF to improve the energy efficiency of its products.
The Insurance Industry is now getting serious about Global Warming - Climate Change has the potential to significantly alter and intensify destructive weather patterns in the U.S. leading to increased flooding, forest fires and storm damage. These changes could make insurance unaffordable in high-risk areas. In fact, insurance premiums in states vulnerable to hurricanes are already increasing, and in some cases, insurers are leaving these markets completely.
There is opportunity for each of us to help, too, and make good money in this grand cause. No one can debate this current challenge. With the auto industry layoffs and recession, industry leaders are really getting serious about Global Warming and reducing the Greenhouse effects. Find ways to help in this cause and feel good about the difference you can make, while making some good money at the same time!
