Search engine optimization is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a particular website or web page through various search engines such as Yahoo, Google, MSN, Alta Vista etc. This can be done through natural, organic or algorithmic search results. The higher your site ranks on a particular search engine, the more are its chances of being visited by different users. Search engine optimization can target different kinds of visitors but in order to get relevant traffic one needs to include image search, local search as well as industry-specific or keyword specific search.
