You've probably given a great deal of thought to the reasons why you would want to homeschool your children. The reasons might focus on your lifestyle, a better education, or medical problems.

Christian homeschooling is another choice that is becoming more and more popular. Parents like the idea of supervising their own children's learning and encouraging Christian values along the way.

Public education doesn't teach absolute values as much as it used to. But when you homeschool, you can do exactly that.

Why would you want to consider homeschooling? The public school system is becoming less and less tolerant of religion, Christianity in particular. If this troubles you, Christian homeschooling might be the best option.

You have the freedom in your home to teach about God and the Bible along with your daily instruction. You don't have to worry about saying "God" and being criticized.

At the same time, this might not be a good enough reason to teach your children at home. When Christian children attend public school, they have opportunities to interact with non-Christians. They can set a good example and demonstrate what being a Christian really means.

There are also Christian private schools that use Christian teachings and doctrines in their curriculum. However, these types of schools are usually expensive. This makes the choice of Christian homeschooling a rational decision.

You might have other reasons to homeschool your children, such as violence in school, or not wanting your children to have to switch from one school to another if your family is in the military.

If your reasons for homeschooling lies in some of these categories, it's definitely worth considering.

If you want to have the most influence over what your children learn, and you want them to learn Christian values, Christian homeschooling is a good option. If the idea of choosing curriculum intimidates you, there are plenty of support groups that can help.

There are different kinds of support groups: Some will help your children with socializing, and others can support you emotionally.
