Buying presents for young children can be a problem sometimes, simply because there are so many different types of presents to choose from! From toys that are created solely for pure entertainment like Power Rangers or Power Puff Girls, to toys with high educational value such as Fisher Price toys.

Having toys with only entertainment value is fine. If you have a few extra bucks, and can afford to spoil the child on a few special occasions, why not. Traditionally, the best that toy makers can do is to insert a cheesy speaker into a soft toy and sells it as something that talks, when in fact, it's an audio recording repeating the same old thing over and over again.

But today, technology has enabled Fisher Price to design a toy that actually interacts with the child. They call this toy Elmo Live, because it's robotic Elmo that actually tell jokes, sings, and move; almost as if it's alive! The child simply needs to squeeze or cuddle Elmo, and it'll immediately spring to live.

Elmo has always been one of the most popular characters in Sesame Street. Children who have the chance to follow this series often fall in love with this character because it's a baby character that looks adorable and has a cute little voice. This voice enables it to sing pleasing songs and make funny noises, thus making Elmo a very endearing character. It's easy to fall in love with such a character.

But seeing the character on television is very different from being close to an Elmo toy that talks and sings. It gives the child a totally new experience, and encourages the child to learn the words and music that comes right out of Elmo Live. This is all made possible with modern technology.

So don't be afraid of technology. Embrace it, and use if for the benefit of your child by investing in educational toys such as Elmo Live.
