Haven't we all had bad days once in a while? I know I have. Consider Rhonda Byrne for a moment. She didn't have a bad day; she had a bad YEAR. As if struggling financially wasn't enough, she lost her father, and her business was failing. As luck would have it, her daughter handed her a book one night that would lead to a life-changing production. Rhonda had found The Secret, and she wanted the world to know!
Rhonda quickly summoned her production crew, excited to let them in on The Secret movie idea she had. Of course there was no budget, but she convinced her crew to have as much faith in the project as she had, and she told them to focus only on the outcome rather than exactly how they'd get there. During production, her own faith was tested many times, but focus always brought her back to the task at hand.
One such time when focusing on the outcome paid off was toward the end of production when Rhonda wished she would've asked for close-ups of people during interviews. She could only afford one camera throughout production, so having a second angle wouldn't have been possible. One day two camera men accidentally showed up, so the second one decided to focus his camera on faces. The faces he captured were exactly the ones Rhonda wanted at the end of production!
Rhonda Byrne once said, "Faith is total heart trust without knowing with your mind." That's part of what the secret is all about, and part of why she began production on the movie without any money. She had faith in herself and chose to focus on the goal rather than how she would reach the goal.
You've heard the saying, "You are what you eat." Truth be told, you are what you THINK as well. Saying things like, "I'm broke," or "I'm fat," makes you believe you are broke and fat whether you are or not. Saying something like that puts the focus of your mind on it. You should only focus on positives. When you say, "I'm ...", make it positive. Doing so will help you become what you want to be.
Life is all about challenges. Each of us face them everyday. The Secret helps people get past those challenges by filling their hearts with love. When Rhonda Byrne first started producing the movie, she was barely making ends meet. That didn't stop her from doing something the rest of us might consider crazy though. She withdrew her money from an ATM and started handing it to strangers on the street!
Having The Secret requires having focus. You have to decide what's most important to you and then dwell on it. Filter out the negative thoughts from your mind. It's why Rhonda began giving away DVD's of The Secret to poor people around the world before the movie began making a profit. She wanted everyone to be successful.
Starting today, take action. It's the only way you'll have what you want. Focus is great, but it's not everything. For example, when marketing The Secret, Rhonda didn't advertise on television. She put trailers online and let word of mouth do the advertising for her. Action is key, and focus is the drive to The Secret.
