Women wear corsets to create or emphasize a curvy figure by reducing the waist, which emphasizes the bust and hip areas. Corsets were also worn in the past to minimize the bust and hips and achieve the tubular torso shape. Men also wear corsets to slim down their figure, a practice slowly growing in popularity again.
