When a couple breaks up for the first time, it becomes a scary time for them because it is a time of confusion and anger. You and your significant other might wonder what happened to the both of you and don't want to say resentful or accusing comments to each other. Going through a breakup can be puzzling, bewildering and troubling.
After an initial breakup, some people may begin to ask the other person in a pestering way to reunite as a couple. But make the assumption that your partner really does want the breakup. After that, decide if you really want to get back as a couple and then plan a strategy.
Think about what you really think of your spouse or partner. Do you want to take some time from each other and see what happens? Or do you feel like you love this person and they are the only person for you?
Is your life better or worse without you partner or do you want to rebuild old friendships that you lost touch with? Or are there different things that you can do to try and win your ex back? Remember that post breakups can give you occasion to reflect on your relationship, what went wrong, and decide if you truly want to reunite with your ex.
Relationships take a lot of attention from both sides. You both have to be willing to make it work or it just won't, simple as that. If you feel that there is love there, then that is a great reason to get back together and reconcile as a couple.
It is risky to talk about your opinions about what went wrong when you speak with your ex. But it may help you reconcile again if there is a strong foundation of love between the two of you. Opening the lines of communication is one of the hardest things to do, but it can be the first step in patching up your relationship.
Getting back together may be the best thing for the both of you. The main thing is to give one another some space for awhile and put it all into perspective. Then you can talk about it and see if it can be worked out and if it can, get back together and work it out.
Love takes time to be revived and nurtured, so be prepared to work on it together. You want your love to last a lifetime, don't you? As long as you are both committed to keeping your relationship special, you both have a chance as a couple.
