When you plan to visit your Russian lady love, make sure that you stay in a hotel. This is necessary to avoid the spreading of unnecessary rumours before you are officially introduced to her family. However, you may ask to stay with them when they get to know you and trust you.
Russians are naturally very hospitable and warm. So, once they get to know you better, language would not be a very big issue and they would love you like anyone else in their family. When you are with them, you would be expected to have vodka with your would-be father-in-law while your future wife and mother-in-law are preparing mouth-watering delicacies like "pirogs" for you. pirogs are typical pie with cheese or jam.
