It is getting tougher out there in the dating arena today. More men are having a hard time dating women and keeping them. It seems women are getting more complicated these days and I don't know what got into you wanting to date a single mom.

OK, you don't have to tell me that she's interesting, she's different, she's wonderful and you've got a lot of things in common. I'm going to be blunt with you. It's harder to date a single mom. So if you think she's going to be easy, well think again.

How could I say that?

It's natural human psychology. Women who have been burned once are unlikely to be burned twice if they are wise enough, and they should be, for their sake and their kids sake. Single moms who are actually trying to date again are not going to fool around anymore. Do you get what I mean?

But if you really want to date a single mom, OK, date this wonderful woman, I need you to make a reality check first. What are your intentions in dating her? Are you just doing this for fun? I hope not. Please do realize that these are brave women that we are talking about. So be sensitive enough to look for fun somewhere else.

Now that we have cleared that let's go on with the subject. How do you date a single mom? There are a few things you have to consider before you can make a "game plan". Why is she a single mom? How many kids does she have and how old are they?

What's the reason why she is single? Did she get a divorce or never been married? If she got married, then how did the separation go? I know, this needs a bit of digging but you will need these informations in the long run.

I just want you to look at the bigger picture. I'm sure you're attention is just concentrated at her but for you win her, you will have to look at this in every angle. I told you single moms are not looking for flings, they have a lot to think about like their kids and the future.

Now, you've seen the big picture and you still want to date her, I only have 2 simple advices for you: 1. Keep your hands off. Don't make her think that you only have one thing in mind. Avoid being too "touchy", otherwise she might interpret it differently. 2. Be ready for a commitment. These women are not looking for fun. They are looking for warmth and security. If you can't give that to them, then it won't work.

I am not asking you to marry her. I know, it's tougher but you are the one who wants to know how to date a single mom, remember? If you have already considered everything and you are a real nice guy, I am sure that the rest will take it's course so good luck.
