Are you having trouble choosing the right wedding hair style? If so, then you're not alone. Many women have difficulty deciding on a style for their wedding.

You're not just worried about looks when you pick out a hairstyle for your big day. It's also important to find one that'll be comfortable all day long, goes with the theme of the wedding and the location, and doesn't break your budget. If that sounds intimidating, here are a few tips to help you find the perfect style.

Remember to start early! Find hairstyle photos you like well in advance of the wedding, and begin collecting them. This will give you a starting point that tells you what sort of hairstyle you prefer.

Be realistic when you choose these photos. It's a poor idea to make a drastic change right before the wedding, so if you're thinking about a big color change or length change, do these early and get used to the idea. It's a good idea to look for wedding hair styles meant for the same general length and type of hair you already have.

Determining your face shape may help you choose the perfect style. Round faces work well with some styles like high updos and long loose hair, but these don't flatter a longer face. If you're not certain what your face shape is, look at it in the mirror and analyze it.

If you're still having trouble, measure the width of your cheekbones, jaw line and forehead, and the length of your face. People having trouble taking measurements may wish to trace the outline of their faces onto a mirror, then measure the drawing.

Women with a forehead and jaw that are the same width, but narrower than their cheekbones have an ideal egg shape. They can wear almost any wedding hairstyle they choose, but should avoid styles that will distort their face shape.

Round faces, ones with little difference between length and cheekbone measurements, are a little tougher. The right style will make your face look longer. Long styles below chin length or short styles cut above the chin will help, but short curly styles or tightly pulled back ones should be avoided.

A heart shaped face has a narrow jaw and wide forehead. To counteract this, think about a chin length bob balanced with curls. Avoid styles that are slicked back or have a lot of fullness around the forehead.

Faces that are all the same width and have a similar length measurement are square. Think about a wedding hairstyle that's soft and layered, or wear longer hair that comes past your shoulders. Side swept fringes are flattering, but geometric cuts aren't.

When choosing your wedding hairstyle, be sure to think about your level of comfort. Wear a style that works with the place and style of your wedding, and remember to think about what makes you feel best. If you don't like tight updos or trailing locks, don't wear them to your wedding.

You'll be wearing your wedding hairstyle for hours, so it's important to be comfortable in it. If you can, spend some time before the wedding getting used to the style, so you'll look and feel your best.
