With the gaining popularity of having a themed wedding, the amount of wedding theme ideas have also increased.
Many couples are faced with a tough decision on which wedding theme to choose from. With so many wedding ideas, how is one to choose?
Well, the easiest way to start choosing a wedding theme is to look at what you and your spouse have a passion for. Especially if it is a hobby or sport that both of you enjoy doing together.
Think about whether this common hobby or sport is suitable to use as a wedding theme. If both of you do not have any hobby or sport in common, then you can explore other themes that may appeal to you and discuss it with your spouse.
The decision process is much easier if one of the party is more involved in the planning while the other person lets the partner run the show. If this is so, there should not be any problem on the decision. However, if both parties wants to be active in the process, there should be some compromise between the couple.
There are some basic considerations that you should look out for before deciding on a wedding theme:
1) Budget - How much do you want to spend
2) Location
3) Big or Small - what is the size of your wedding?
4) Formal or informal
5) Time - Is the theme realistic for both of you? Do you have the time to plan for the theme?
6) Weather - Is the theme susceptible to weather conditions?
Let's take a look at some popular wedding theme ideas:
1) Beach wedding theme
2) Seasonal wedding theme - Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter
3) Beach wedding theme
4) Butterfly
Garden wedding theme
6) Western
7) Asian
8) Hawaiian
9) Seasonal wedding theme
10) Butterfly wedding theme
If the chosen theme is dependent on weather condition, then you may have to think about making contingency plan. The beach theme is one example.
It is best to carry your chosen theme all the way through. It is easy to get distracted by the numerous choices out there. Remember, if you change your wedding theme halfway, not only will you delay your plan but you may also incur more costs.
It is possible to get stressed and frustrated when things doesn't go as planned. However, when all is done on your wedding day, you will be glad to have gone through the effort.
