The ideal of any marriage should be the commitment two people make to be together through good times and bad, and a wedding ring when placed on the finger is the symbol of this. There are a number of customs where presenting gifts to the engaged couple is quite normal and only ends when the wedding rings are final given with the vows.
A more modern definition of this custom is to present the bride with an eternity ring instead. It is now becoming more popular to have wedding rings engraved so if you and your partner are buying matching diamond wedding rings, why not have them both engraved; with something personal to you both just to give them that unique feel.
Not everyone likes plain bands so if you ring is a little bland for your liking, why not have a beaded edge engraved on either one or both rings; your rings can then be truly unique and reflect your personalities. Just remember, the wedding rings are for you both so whatever you choose will be right.
You must never forget how important your wedding ring is; once it is placed on your finger it will be worn more consistently than any other jewelry item you may acquire. It is not worth trying to find the cheapest you can because it will undermine their importance. Buying your diamond wedding ring cheaply will ultimately demean its significance over time and probably won't wear that well either. They should also fit perfectly so do not accept anything less as when you come to place them on each others fingers on the wedding day you may find they no longer look as good.
Make sure your diamond wedding rings fit perfectly by using the services of a professional jeweler to measure you and your partner's fingers; something which cannot be done over the internet. Ensuring the fit is good save the embarrassment of the either the ring not fitting over the finger or of it falling off because it is too loose.
Therefore it is important that you allow the jeweler enough time to complete your order by your wedding day. So don't waste any time, as soon as you know when you are to be married, choose the rings; give the jeweler at least two months to get the resizing work done, which should provide a good safety margin.
Owing to the number of styles to choose from it may also take you some time to find the right one. When choosing your diamond wedding rings you should choose based on your immediate feelings about them; whilst remembering that what looks good today might not be quite as fashionable in a few years time. Remember that your wedding rings are a symbol of your love and commitment to each other.
