Lourdas in Kefalonia

Lourdas has one of the principal beaches in Kefalonia and a holiday spent on this beach is a holiday well spent! The stretch of golden sand goes on evermore it seems and the clear sapphire waters of the sea offer the ideal getaway from Kefalonia's hot sun! The beach at Lourdas is backed by woods that not only offer shelter, but offers some great mountaineering trails for your holiday!
Lourdas has masses of restaurants that provide every type of cuisine available from traditional Greek to Spanish, so you will be really spoilt for choice! The shops of Lourdas offer everything you could want and need, also some excellent souvenirs of Kefalonia! By night, holidays to Lourdas are all about descending into one of the lively bars and having a superb time!
Skala in Kefalonia
Placed on the south of Kefalonia is the resort Skala. Skala is a vast resort that proves to be ever more chic due to the gorgeous beach, the friendly atmosphere and the abundance of sumptuous accommodation such as the Porto Skala Hotel.
Skala has a beach that is basically heavenly - long and sandy, covered by sun and the azure sea, backed by pines and highlighted with beach barsit's no wonder Skala coast is one of the most popular in Kefalonia! The beach also has plenty of watersports on offer, a dive centre and if you don't like the thought of sand between those toes of yours, there are several swimming pools in close proximity too!
Skala has lots of sightseeing opportunities if you have the period to drag yourself away from the beach and the lavish hotels one of which is Porto Skala! The Roman mosaics are stunning and the ruins of Skala Old Town from the Kefalonia earthquake are certainly worth going see. Skala has a lot of memento shops, where you can acquire the unusual arts and crafts from the region!
One of many top places to stay in Skala is the Porto Skala Hotel. The Porto Skala has excellent sea views, an exclusive beach and is positioned close to all the action. The Porto Skala also has many crazy golf centres, entertainment and great food on hand! Skala centre though has a large amount of restaurants and tavernas that dish up food so good you'll certainly not want to eat anywhere else! Sundown, if you don't go for hotel entertainment, then Skala has heaps of bars that make for a incredible night out!
