Spain is a paradise where you are bound to come back again and again. You would find the beach life at its best with endless sun, sand, bluest sea and sports. The most popular places to go camping are Costa Brava, Costa Verde, Catalonia and Costa Dorada. Another place is Alcossebre and Costa De Azahar which is a heavenly place filled with tropical plants, waterfalls and exotic birds. Though these places are main tourist attractions but you would also find it quiet, tranquil with untouched beauty.
Barcelona is one of the most exhilarating cities where lot of people go bag packing. It is mixture of history, culture and modernisation. It has the most magnificent architecture including many spectacular buildings designed by Gaudi. You must visit the beautiful museums with legendary work of Picasso and Miro and the Olympic stadium is worth a visit. If you are a collector of antiques and beautiful and unique craft Barcelona is the place for you. The world famous Barcelona Guitar Festival is held from 15th March to 15th June.
Costa Dorada is an hour’s drive from Barcelona and has the adventurous theme park of Universal Studio’s Port aventuura and is also famous for Roman monuments. Costa De Azahar is a 2 hours drive from Barcelona. It has wonderful beaches and fortified villages and towns. It has the famous fortress Peniscola where the motion picture El Cid was filmed.
Costa Brava has a gorgeous coastline with jagged cliffs, sandy bays and harbours. Costa Brava has a very different landscape where you would find rugged cliffs on one end and beautiful vineyards and olive groves on the other. Nautic Almata is also one of the favourite camp sites. It has excellent windsurfing and you go on a nature trail to watch birds and hunt for fossils.
You can visit the Atlantic Coast which has Cantabria and the port towns of Santander and Bilbao are excellent to go camping with family. You can go trekking to Picos di Europa which has mountains range. You can visit the incredible Guggenheim museum in Bilbao and not to forget the beautiful beaches. You would also find well priced campsite restaurants, snack bars and the supermarkets are stocked well with all the necessities that you might need.
