When you are looking into your next summer vacation, you may be dreaming of a faraway destination; somewhere hot, relaxing and somewhere that you can really forget about the stresses and strains of everyday life. However, it is not always possible to travel so far away, but the good news is that there are some really good alternative destinations to choose from within the United States.
The Best United States Package Holidays
When you search for the perfect summer vacation destination, it is likely that your main priorities are to find white sand, clear water and a tropical climate. Those three features are what really make the perfect beach holiday and the good news is that within the United States there are many beaches and locations which closely resemble those of the Caribbean.
Some of the most popular United States beaches include:
Ocracoke Island South Beach Newport Beach
South Beach is situated in Miami, Florida, and one of the best things about it is that it provides visitors with plenty of activities. You can take part in surfing, boating, swimming and sunbathing and there are also a number of activities off the beach too. So you can relax as much as you like or you can participate in various activities throughout your stay. This makes the Beach ideal for families.
Ocracoke Island is situated within North Carolina and it is another popular beach designed with families in mind. However, it would also make an ideal location for couples as the only way to get to the island is by airplane or boat. There are a large number of activities on the island which you can participate in, including surfing, fishing, boating, camping and swimming.
Finally Newport Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the west coast. It has been featured in several TV shows and that has further helped to increase its popularity. It is certainly not a beach you should go to if you want to be by yourself, but it is worth a visit if you are looking for fun. You can participate in volleyball, boating, Frisbee throwing, sunbathing and swimming to name just a few activities.
Overall the above are just a small selection of popular beaches within the United States. Of course there are plenty more good beaches to choose from in the United States so it is just a matter of finding the right beach to suit you.
