Dawlish Warren is a lovely seaside town on the Devon coast across the water from Exmouth. With the holiday season just starting if you were stay in Dawlish Warren you would not be short of things to do with or without children.
First of all, there is a lovely Blue Flag Beach, on the EXE estuary and runs for miles. There are numerous campsites close to the beach. Lots of wildlife can be seen in and around the beach and regularly people can be seen fishing from the shore side.
If you are looking for something a little more fast paced then why not from Grand Prix Go Karts with prices that start from £4. There are a range of cars, from single and two seaters to the really fast “bullit” go carts.
If you fancy a bit of history then look no further than taking a visit to the nearby Powderham Castle which as well as being a venue for weddings and other occasions holds lots of events through the year. The castle dates from 1066 and is a fascinating look at the past.
What about a bit of nature? Then visit the local Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve which boasts some must see wildlife, from rare birds to impressive plants and trees.
All in all Dawlish Warren has a whole heap to offer. If you needed somewhere to stay you could go to one of the local Dawlish Warren Holiday Homes which can be found at the numerous holiday and caravan parks.
