These are your typical old style tent that use metal poles to create a frame, and then a tent cloth is draped over. The material used, traditionally was canvas but is now more often than not using synthetic fabric with fibreglass frames. The benefits of this type are that they can offer a lot of room, but on the downside can but fiddly to put up.

These triangle shaped tents have horizontal poles running across the top of the tent and two vertical poles for support. These traditionally have wooden poles and canvas tent covers. This style of tent gives alot of headroom as they are tall.

These tents are usually a combination of ridge and dome tents and are a large style also suited for families. These tents are great for longer stays as they have large porch style areas for sitting under with canopies acting as shade.
