There are numerous photo opportunities in Val di Fiemme ski resort, ranging from the spectacular panoramic vistas to the funny chagrined look of kids as the hit their behinds on the snow. The Val di Fiemme can be one of the most wonderful holiday destinations for the whole family.
Great options for the entire family
If the family's sense of adventure is tied to skiing, every member of the family will be impressed to know that the Val di Fiemme is part of the network of 12 ski resorts that make up the famous Dolomiti Super Ski domain. Within the Val di Fiemme, there are more than 90 miles of ski slopes that can be accessed by any of the available 51 lifts. This ski resort has an extensive lift system that is capable of carrying up to 72,000 skiers every hour. At the same time, skiers can access an additional 745 miles of skiing in the Dolomiti region.
There are also various levels of ski runs that will suit everyone's skiing expertise. The good news for families that have young children who are learning to ski is that about 40% of the slopes are easy and for beginners. If Dad and Mom have a difficult time teaching their children to ski, they will be glad to know that there are seven ski schools within the Val di Fiemme ski resort. Another 40% of the skiing area is for the more experienced intermediate skiers. These slopes are steep and present exciting challenges for them. And finally, the remaining 20% is dedicated to expert skiers only. The expert skiers may also want to schedule their next skiing holiday in 2013 when the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will be held at Val di Fiemme ski resort.
Fun activities beyond skiing for the adventurous family
If the family's idea of adventure includes other activities aside from skiing, the Val di Fiemme ski resort offers access to facilities for other winter sports such as ice climbing, snowshoe trekking, snowboarding, and outdoor ice skating. The ski resort has its own snowboarding park. During summers, the Val di Fiemme ski resort also offers activities such as mountain biking, horse riding, hiking, fishing, rafting, and paragliding. There are facilities for swimming, indoor tennis, bowling, archery, and sauna and massage. And many of these facilities are offered by the hotels and motels in the area.
If the family wanted to savor a cultural experience, they may want to watch any of the events hosted by the ski resort. Some of the favorite events include "The Woodcutter's Day," "Sounds of the Dolomites," "Music and Folklore in Fiemme," and the "Dolomiti Western Show." The family can also visit museums and monuments.
And finally, even without the entertainment of shows and the excitement of winter sports, the whole family will still have an enjoyable holiday at the Val di Fiemme ski resort because of the beauty of the place. The family can visit the Natural Parks of Paneveggio. Or the family can join guided excursions. Or the family can simply follow the walking trails and bike routes. Whatever the family wants to do in Val di Fiemme ski resort, it will be an unforgettable adventure.
