You will first want to come up with a plan or prepare an itinerary so that you can get the most out of the vacation or trip. However, dont cry a river when things dont end up like planned. You will find that there are going to be times where you will need to stick with the plan and then there are times to let go and go with the flow.
Always make sure that you have the following before you leave the home for the trip: money, passport, clean clothes (including underwear), and any and all tickets.
When it comes to the clothing aspect, you will want to plan for many kinds of weather. You never know if it will rain or not rain so plan for both. You will find that there are some clothing items that you can wear for either or. Also, leave the new clothes at home. Especially if you plan on washing clothes before you leave. Also, dont forget your shoes. Shoes are the most important aspect to any trip, because they can ruin any trip. You need to make sure that they arent new and that you are comfortable in the shoes as well. You dont want to strain a muscle in your foot either by wearing silly shoes.
Dont forget things like medications, keys, locking up, and taking anything extra that you need for your business presentation or for your trip to be enjoyed. You will want to also bring things like plenty of insect spray and you will also want to make sure that you have enough medication for the entire trip and some to spare. You never know what may happen or if you will be arriving back on time.
It is very important that you leave the home secured. The last thing that anyone will want to do is come home and find their house robbed or worse, damaged. Have someone that you trust to keep an eye on the house.
Also, you will need to bring an extra bag for dirty clothes, and no trip is completed without a map.
When you consider these things you will find that you are missing something and you will want to check everything twice and make sure that your bags are securely attached to the car rack and so on.
