While "writer's block" is a common problem for authors, the main reason for not finishing a book generally comes from not knowing how to creatively solve problems and the three myths of publishing. Most authors feel that writing and publishing the book themselves is the only way to go, but this option is slow and difficult.
Yet, there is an alternative way to for you to write your book and have everything you need. If you follow this proactive alternative plan and write a book with co-authors, you'll that is a fast, easy, and fun.
Here are the three myths of publishing for you to destroy.
Myth 1 - Book publishing is hard.
While it is hard if you're trying to find a literary agent and get a big publisher to give you a $100,000 advance for your book, that is not you're only option. There is now an better option in which you co-author with someone who already has a New York Publisher that is chomping at the bit, ready to get a book on your topic published and to market. This new way is not hard. In fact, it's so easy, it'll be just like slicing warm butter with a knife.
2nd Myth - Publishing a book takes a lot of time.
This may seem true from your point of view because it takes an average of about two and a half years to write a book and get it published. If your topic is hot right now or you really need to land the credibility of being an author to get that big job, it will feel like it's taking forever. However, you can get the book written in a matter of months, not years, if you decide to co-author with an ongoing project that needs your field of expertise. Actually, it can be done so quickly that your part can be measured in hours.
Myth 3 - Publishing a book is not any fun.
This is most likely the worst myth of all as it keeps you from being able to express your creativity. Again, you don't have to let that happen if you work with other co-authors and let your imagination and spirit run free. This is particularly true if you create a business from the information in your book and earn a passive monthly income. When that happens, co-authoring a book could be the best experience of your life.
ACTION POINT: Destroy the three publishing myths by choosing the option for writing a book and getting it published that is easy and fast. And even better, when you become a co-author on a book project that is part of a bestselling business with others, there is a high chance that you'll make a lot of money too, which will make it all the more fun!
